Check in – Personal Care Products
We are nearly there! You should start to be seeing some of your results now.
Throughout last week, the focus was very much on the food aspect. Of course, this is still really important, but it’s now time to start thinking about ditching some of those toxins you put ON your body.
- Shampoo
- Cleanser
- Moisturiser
- Conditioner
- Cosmetics
And others….
These can be a surprising source of hidden toxins because sometimes they aren’t listed on the ingredients list. They can be included under umbrella terms like ‘fragrance’.
The Detox Success Manual has all the details and will be a more permanent record for you.
This video goes through what sort of things to look out for in your personal care products.
One of the names on the naughty list is parabens. These synthetic antimicrobials and preservatives are usually found in products that contain a lot of water, like shampoos, cleansers, body wash, and so on. We don’t like them because parabens are ‘endocrine disruptors’, which means they mimic natural oestrogen and can affect hormone function. They have actually been found in breast tumour biopsies.
Today is a great day to see what’s lurking in your bathroom cupboard. Check ingredient labels for methyl-, ethyl-, butyl-, or propylparaben – see the Detox Success Manual for details on all the other things you’ll want to avoid going forward.
